Breaking news: A massive caravan of more than 2,500 migrants leaves the southern gate of Tapachula, Mexico, heading to the United States

This would be the third caravan that is formulated under the administration of the new president Claudia Sheinbaum.

The purpose of the migrants is to try to arrive before the presidential elections of November 5 to try to enter the North American country.

Many of the migrants have made statements saying that some will wait for the application of the CBP one and the majority have said that the application takes a long time to be able to expedite their process and present themselves at a US port of entry, therefore if this is the case they will try to enter North American lands irregularly. This would be the third caravan under the administration of the new president Claudia Sheinbaum.

During the administration of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, more than 13 million migrants crossed Mexico mainly seeking to reach the United States, this figure was confirmed by Héctor Martínez Castuo, former director of coordination of offices of the National Institute of Migration.

The group of undocumented immigrants, mostly from Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua as well as on the coasts of Haiti and countries in parts of Africa.
