Pegasus software was allegedly used to intercept communications from other governments such as Venezuela and Mexico.

Colombian Senator Antonio Correa referred to the Pegasus Software, purchased by the Government of Iván Duque with the aim of spying on opponents, human rights defenders and journalists during the 2021 national strike.

Pegasus works through video calls, malicious links that once installed can access different data, such as messages, emails, browsing history, location and call logs.
