Tonalá.- Around 250 turtles were found dead along 32km of the beach line in the Puerto Arista sanctuary.
Given the identification of the bodies, there are indications of the use of fishing nets, which caused the drowning of the turtles.
A community group for the attention of marine mammals has been in charge of burying the turtles in order to avoid a problem with public health derived from the decomposition of the bodies thrown on the shore of the sea.
According to the identifications according to the data collected by the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP) so far in August and to date there is a record of more than 250 dead turtles along 32km of the beach .
The Conanp warns of the need to apply the regulations regarding the regulation of fishing activities in the area.
