Republican candidate Donald Trump campaigned this Sunday at a McDonald’s in the key state of Pennsylvania, where he accused his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, of having made up a story that she worked for the fast food chain as a young woman.
An improvised press conference, in which he answered questions through the drive-thru window.
In front of many journalists and collaborators, an employee showed the former president how to place baskets of French fries in oil, sauté the potatoes and place them in the boxes with a shovel.
“It takes a lot of knowledge to do it right and do it quickly,” said Donald Trump with a smile, putting aside his suit jacket and putting an apron over his shirt and tie.
Why did Donald Trump visit McDonald’s?
<>%. Trump has said, without offering evidence, that never happened.
After delivering several orders through the drive-thru window, Donald Trump, still wearing an apron, leaned out to take questions from the press gathered outside. The Republican, who has constantly promoted falsehoods about his 2020 election loss, said he would respect the results of next month’s election “if it’s a fair election.”
He congratulates Kamala Harris
He joked about serving an ice cream cone to one reporter, and when another asked if he had a message for Harris, who turned 60 on Sunday, Trump replied, “I’d say, ‘Happy birthday, Kamala,’” and added, “I think I’ll send her flowers.”
