Elon Musk has donated $75 million to boost Donald Trump’s campaign

The richest tycoon in the world, Elon Musk, is betting heavily on Donald Trump as the next president of the United States. The tycoon has not only expressed his support through social networks and in public events, including the rally in which he spoke on October 5, but he has also loosened his wallet. Elon Musk donated 74.95 million dollars (69 million euros, at the current exchange rate) in the third quarter to America PAC, a political action committee that aims to support the former president’s campaign, according to the entity’s statement to the Federal Electoral Commission.

Elon Musk donated the first five million to America PAC on July 3; another five million on July 10; 4.95 million on July 18; 7.5 million on August 5 and another 7.5 million on August 20 and 30 million on September 5, according to the registered information. In total, $74.95 million in three months. In the document, Musk identifies himself as a resident of Austin and an employee of SpaceX.

Statements by Elon Musk

“If you want to attend one of my talks, there is no entrance fee. You just have to have signed our petition in support of freedom of speech and the right to bear arms and voted in this election,” Elon Musk posted on X.

During Trump’s campaign event in Butler earlier this month, Musk said that “this will be the last election” if Trump does not win the November elections and asked to register to vote because, he added, “they are going to take away our right to vote.”

Trump has indicated that he will create a new position in his Administration for Musk, in the event that he reaches the White House again.

The CEO of X, who for years had chosen to stay out of politics, has declared in the last year his open support for Donald Trump to the point of becoming a large donor to his campaign.
