Mexico Chihuahua creates special group to combat Venezuelan criminal cartel “Tren de Aragua”

The Chihuahua government has announced the creation of a special unit to combat the “Tren de Aragua”, a criminal organization originating in Venezuela that operates in Mexico and that the Chihuahua authorities have detected has been linked to other gangs such as the structure “Mara Salvatrucha”. <>, assured Gilberto Loya Chávez, head of the Chihuahua Security Secretariat.
Gilberto Loya Chávez, Secretary of State Public Security (SSPE), explained that a group of agents has been assigned to investigate and gather information on this gang, which operates under a discreet “modus operandi” and collaborates with local gangs.
Loya Chávez, highlighted:
*The agents specialized in combating organized crime have received training in the United States, Colombia and El Salvador, countries that have experience in handling this type of group.
Strategies:
*It is based on the lessons shared during the visit of Chilean and Salvadoran experts to the State Public Security Secretariat, where investigation and combat techniques for the Aragua Train were discussed.

*In the Tocorón prison in Venezuela, it has managed to expand in Mexico, becoming involved in activities such as human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Loya Chávez pointed out that, despite having some information thanks to the exchange of data with the United States, they have not yet been able to identify key leaders of the group or establish a clear traceability of its operation in the state.
As part of the effort to combat this Venezuelan criminal threat, the “Tren de Aragua”, Loya Chávez also held a meeting with Rosa Delmy Cañas, ambassador of El Salvador, to establish joint agreements on strategies for citizen protection and combating crime. This collaboration seeks to strengthen actions against organized crime and improve security in both nations.
Where does this Venezuelan criminal gang “El Tren de Aragua” operate? In Mexico:
“They operate more in the center of the country, but we can start to see it in the north […] we do not rule out that they may begin to link up here, just as they already have operations with people from Peru, with people from Colombia and in the state of Chihuahua we have identified them with a gang that operates mainly in “Ciudad Juárez”, is part of what was expressed by the official.
According to the map included in the document Security Strategy for the First 100 Days, Chihuahua is one of the entities in which the Sinaloa Cartel has a strong presence, in addition to Ciudad Juárez being one of the 10 relevant points for the start of said strategy.
