Venezuelan and Colombian minors rescued from human trafficking network in Cúcuta

An investigation that lasted approximately one week allowed the Colombian authorities to determine that inside a building in the city of Cúcuta, in the department of Norte de Santander, five minors of Venezuelan and Colombian nationalities were being exploited.
After the expert reports, they were able to determine that inside a building in the Comuneros neighborhood, Cúcuta, in Norte de Santander, five young women were being sexually exploited.
After establishing a commission, they managed to enter the place and found, as evidence, recording equipment mounted with which they recorded pornographic content exploiting young women between 16 and 17 years old.
Arrested for human trafficking
During the procedure, men over 18 years old participated, according to Colonel William Quintero, commander of the Metropolitan Police of Cúcuta.
They found five girls aged 16 and 17 who were performing sexual content in the company of adult men.
According to the authorities, the content was hosted on an online platform whose main market was the United States.
The seven people were immediately arrested and the rights of the minor victims were restored. At the scene they seized “32 items including: 12 cell phones, 1 laptop and a DVD that are being analyzed by computer specialists to determine the existence of more victims.”
He also highlighted that among those arrested are Waldo Miranda, alias “Alejandro,” who is identified as the alleged leader of the trafficking network, while Alexander Torres and Deisy Castro were identified as the financial administrators and those in charge of recruiting the minors, to whom they promised large salaries.
